- Wake up early
The weather in Kaliningrad oblast changes quickly during the day. It may rain in the afternoon so if you plan the full day tour, catch your early morning weather wave.
- Cash is important
You are lucky to have some cash in your pocket when the equipment in a café doesn’t work, no ATM nearby.
- Don’t forget about currency exchange
Some places like museums do not except dollars or euro. So don’t forget to put some rubles into your wallet before you go far away from the city center.
- Meet local people
Find some time to communicate with local people. It may be very simple English or German or a mix of both. Local people will tell you more than official sites do.
- Take lots of photos
You may only see this place and these people once in your life. Make the best memory with your camera or mobile phone. You will share your photos with your family and friends who will die of jealousy.
- Be patient
Do you want to be angry and annoyed during the journey and destroy your vacation time? Have patience when you are staying in a line waiting to cross the border, smile, talk to people in a line, look around you, discover new things.
